ARTIST OF THE WEEK: TIGERCUB

Tigercub return with their excellent new single, “Blue Mist In My Head”. An expansive track that shows the bands frightening potential and flair for creative experimentation.

Brighton pop trio Tigercub have given fans an exciting insight into their highly anticipated new album, “As Blue As Indigo”,set to release on 18th June through Blame Recordings with their latest single 'Blue Mist In My Head'. Its a statement of intent from the band who roar through the single with a fierce delivery; a theme that is carried throughout with heavy riffs, personal vocals and an uncompromised attitude.

It's also clear that Blue Mist In My Head is the most unapologetic track from their new album so far. With deep fuzzy attitude and a bassline that contributes to the tension and urgency as the song progresses. Tigercub execute with precision and intelligence, offering a great example of how to successfully create a whirlwind of a track that's foundations are held together by tension, outright panic and aggression.

Frontman Jamie discusses the track as:

Lyrically “Blue Mist In My Head” is about coping with depression whilst feeling alienated and disconnected from others. That sense of feeling like I’m on auto-pilot going through the motions of life – I’m not really there, I’m not in the room, I’ve disappeared completely.”

Tigercub have also announced a headline tour for later in the year and tickets are on sale now!

I love everything about the track and it's no coincidence that Tigercub have become one of the hottest prospects on the music scene, offering something unique in their style and delivery. The track makes me want to hear what Tigercub do next and the album simply can't come soon enough!

SINGLE RATING: 4.6/5
